Family’s messaging feature includes the option to block addresses, allowing you to remove a contact from your messaging inbox and stop notifications in Family. Blocking an address helps you maintain a secure and private communication experience by limiting interactions to trusted contacts.
How to block an address
This guide will show you how to block a specific address in Family’s messaging feature. Here’s how:
- Select a wallet.
- Tap the chat icon in the top right.
- Select a chat.
- View a contact by tapping the contact’s profile icon in the top right.
- Tap the icon to bring up more Options.
- Select Block Chat and then Block.
How to block an address requesting to Chat with you
Since anyone can send you a message, Family filters out messages from unknown senders from the contacts you added to your Address Book. You can easily block addresses from the “Chat Requests” page in your messages. Here’s how:
- Select a wallet.
- Tap the chat icon in the top right.
- Select Chat Requests.
- View a message request and you’ll be given the option to Block or Accept.
- If you don’t know the sender, or don’t want to be notified, select Block. The sender won’t be notified.
