By refueling your L2 balances directly within Family, you can avoid the hassle of switching networks or transferring funds manually, ensuring your transactions run smoothly. This is especially convenient because L2 networks like Optimism, Polygon, and Base require separate gas balances for transaction fees. Family's Refuel Wallet feature allows you to top up your Layer 2 Networks (L2) gas balances with a single transaction.
How to refuel Layer 2 gas balances
To refuel your gas balance on Layer 2 networks in Family, you’ll need to access the refuel wallet feature in Your Family. Here’s how:
- In the Mission Control screen, tap the
settings icon to view Your Family. - Select Refuel Wallet.
- Choose the wallet you will pay from and tap Continue.
- Choose the asset you will pay with and tap Continue.
- Choose the chains you want to refuel and tap Continue.
- Choose the amount of gas you’d like to top up on your selected chain and tap Continue.
- Review the details of the transaction and tap Continue.
- Review the transaction and tap Confirm.
- The refuel will process and take a few minutes for your balances to be topped up.
