Family allows you to easily remove wallets from your Mission Control screen when you no longer need to use them. If you’ve switched assets to a new wallet, no longer want to watch an address, or want to simply tidy up your Mission Control screen, it’s easy to remove a wallet.
In Family, removing a wallet means dissociating it from the app. It’s important to clarify that this does not imply the deletion or eradication of the wallet from the Ethereum network. The action only removes the wallets’s presence and accessibility within the app. The process is more akin to deleting a bookmark in your browser; the webpage still exists, you’ve simply removed your quick access to it.
Before you remove a wallet
Prior to removing a wallet, you should ensure that you’ve securely backed up your Secret Recovery Phrase or Private Key. (You can learn how to Backup your wallet with iCloud or Backup your wallet with Pocket in these guides). As removing a wallet also discards any personalized settings or preferences in Family for that wallet, it’s paramount to have these essential details secured. This way, you have the means to re-add or restore the wallet in the future, if needed.
