Collectible metadata refers to the underlying information that describes an collectible, including the asset's name, description, image, properties, and any additional traits that define its uniqueness. This data is stored onchain or offchain and provides the context needed to display the collectible accurately in Family. Refreshing metadata allows you to update the details of a digital collectible in your Family wallet, ensuring that you always have the most up-to-date information about your NFTs and assets.
How to refresh metadata on a collectible
To refresh metadata on a collectible, simply select the asset in your wallet and choose the refresh option. Here’s how:
- From Mission Control, select a wallet.
- Navigate to the Collectibles tab.
- Tap on a collectible to view in Gallery Mode.
- Swipe up on the collectible to view more details.
- Tap the
icon to view more options. - Tap Refresh Metadata.
